Sports broadcaster Star Sports has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to all pro boxing bouts of India’s boxing sensation Vijender Singh that are scheduled to be held this year.
The first bout of this year will be televised live on 12 March on Star Sports 2 & Star Sports HD 2 from 11:30 pm (IST) onwards and on Star’s digital platform Hotstar.
Star Sports has acquired the rights from IOS Boxing Promotions and their UK partners Queensberry Promotions for the telecast of Singh’s bouts along with the promotion and development of professional boxing in India. The acquisition of rights to Singh’s bouts is in line with the Star Sports objective of building a multi-sport culture in India.
