I think at 2011 no match had been schedule simultaneously, I remember all small team matches was scheduled from 9:00 its aired Live on ESPN.

Remember guys star sports also telecast other sports in live in HD....in my opinion they would keep 2 HD channels for English Commentary and 3rd one for Hindi Commentary and 4th one for other sports.

2011 World cup was a treat to watch matches in HD as at that time it was event based channels & there was no ads
