Star Utsav toppled Sony Pal to become the number one Hindi GEC genre in the rural markets, as per BARC data for the week ended 27 May. Sony Pal was pushed to the second spot. Star Plus, meanwhile, moved ahead of Colors in rural India by bagging the sixth position. Big Magic improved its ranking by moving up to the eighth position. Colors and Life OK each were pushed one level down to the seventh and ninth position respectively.
