Elections to 4 states will ring in only local governance issue and have a doubt whether BJP will have any political gain

BJP has to win, or else TMC will again misrule WB. See whats happening there. Law and order is gone.

The main issue here is there are large number of political parties.US, UK, have 2-3 party system. and here we have so many. There must be some new rule so that no more parties can be formed.

Whatever it is, if india needs to progress, BJP needs to get those numbers in RS, to pass crucial bills that is stalled by opposition. And for this it needs to win the states.

Sources said that at the party's core committee meet on Saturday several leaders had expressed the view that there was no need to go in pursuit of any party to forge alliances against the backdrop of the non-committal attitude of DMDK chief Vijayakanth and a statement by PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss about the capacity of his party to contest alone without necessarily allying with the BJP . "We decided in principle that we will not talk to anybody who does not first desire to ally with us," a senior leader said alluding to the posturing by the two parties which were part of the NDA for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

The committee that met on the sidelines of the party's collection of application forms from more than 3,000 ticket aspirants is under stood to have deliberated upon the hour-long talks held by Union minister Prakash Javadekar with DMDK chief Vijayakanth at the latter's suburban residence on February 28 and his subsequent unscheduled visit on March 4 apparently to get the Captain to seal an alliance.
