Update State/Region Specific channels are offered on complimentary basis

"State/Region specific Channel/s is/are being currently offered pan India on promotional and complimentary basis. Such Channel/s may be made State/Region specific at any time at the discretion of the Company.

Example:- "Channel TV-9 Gujarati which is being currently offered as a part of a Package pan India purely on promotional and complimentary basis may be offered only in the State of Gujarat at any time at the discretion of the Company."

"Channels Sahara One, Filmy, Zee Madhya Pradesh-Chattisgarh, &pictures, and Zee Khana Khazana, Zee Q, being currently offered by us on complimentary and promotional basis as a part of a Package will be available on our platform only till 31st August 2014, Channels Saam TV and Mahua till 9th July 2014 and will not be so offered thereafter.

Channels Sahara Samay National, Sahara Samay Bihar/JH, Sahara Samay MP/CG and Sahara Samay Rajasthan also being currently offered on complimentary and promotional basis as a part of a Package will be available on the platform only till 31st August 2014 and will not be so offered thereafter."

As for me im not affected if these channels are removed from base pack and only for those from the specific regions would be provided a free separate language packs for sahara one, zee MP, saam tv and so.

Zee khana khazana, ZeeQ, and &pictures too werent part of base pack earlier and d2h struck maybe one year deal with zee to give the channels on base packs to improve the viewership.

I don't think they have no viewers. Every channel has some sense and their presence yes popularity varies and depends on each and every subscribers basis but we can't underestimate these channels.

niche channels have less viewers and I accept it and if those wants to increase viewership then some rates should be at reasonable. how many would subscribe single channel at rs.70 PM?

I do agree that rates are too high of these channels and Zee Group needs to think about this. Right now Zee is carrying these channels as a premium channels so less ads or no ads concept is going on and for reducing the price tag they needs to opt for more ads as to grow their revenue.

This means that now they will introduce new free addon kind of service for every region in ROI packs. It will be really nice if they do so and add some important channels like English movie channels in ROI lowest base pack Super Gold.

premium entertainment channels got high rates with no ads and movie/series can be subscribed in HD. I DONT mind the ops carry the channels a LA carte but include in base pack with hike.
after adding zQ and ZKK in base pack I haven't watched it until now.
