There is a scenario actually. What Flipkart does that they bought TV from outsource & sell in the Country they assigned their own technician but tell people it's from company.

Flipkart take complains for every electronic products but when it comes to replacement they point towards the company. If you registered the complain in Flipkart & if Flipkart technician agrees that yes there is a fault then it should replace with Flipkart only but instead of that they sweep everything towards the company.

Now you haven't talked with a company yet you talked with Flipkart then you can't blame the company for your anger since they haven't heard you. What Flipkart makes people realize that they take care of everything but they actually not since how Flipkart selling things only Flipkart knows because you might bought a TV from Flipkart which even company stopped manufacturing.

How Flipkart and Amazon works is very hard to explain. In my case it was Philips who goofed up but anyway Flipkart could have helped in the interest of a consumer but it never went there because it seemed unrelated. This would be same if I had purchased it from Croma or Reliance Digital, I will not be able to claim warranty in their stores, but this warranty is by the manufacturer which would be Philips.

But you do make a valid point, which is of concern too. Flipkart and Amazon do not sell the items listed, it is just a platform. Very few items like OnePlus and Amazon exclusives sell it via Amazon or Flipkart site. When you list an item it comes from a vendor, who basically has a shop or a godown. Now you will not know if this is a genuine vendor or not. You may have seen Amazon and Flipkart pushing 100% Original message across their ads. This was due to the rise of complaints from the consumers reporting fake products from Amazon and Flipkart. Nikon even went ahead and announced that Nikon items bought from Amazon or Flipkart will not be under warranty.
This kind of Golmaal is upsetting, and tricks a lot of unknown customers.

First of call, I strongly doubt about availability of 40" TV for this price range.
If I would have been in your place brother, my priority would be features as first, because I would be looking for long term.
I recently purchased 40 smart TV by Vu for about 26k + additional 2.5k for extra 2 years warranty which comes to a total peace of mind for 5 years. It has 2 HDMI, antenna input with inbuilt dtv support for T2 & C but no S2 support. It also has CI card slot. I'm happy with overall smart features n resolution quality. The only thing which I didn't like is, opera based apps as it would have been better with Android. Also the limitation that currently cable providers don't offer support for CI CARD.
Rest everything is good for this budget.
