The success of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has set the ball rolling for other T20 leagues to take shape. A T20 cricket league involving retired cricketers like Brian Lara, Wasim Akram and Adam Gilchrist will take place in the UAE. The first edition is set for February 2016 and will last for two weeks. The plan is to roll this out in the UAE for the next 10 years. The Masters Champions League (MCL) will see six teams with 90 international players playing at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Shaikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
