It has been more than six months since Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam assumed office following the conviction of AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa in the disproportionate assets scam but his second stint as CM has been marked by policy paralysis as officials await the verdict of the Karnataka High Court.

The Chennai's Metro Rail project, which was originally scheduled to begin its operations in October 2014, has seen numerous delays. Now, phase 1 of the metro project is finally nearing completion.

The 10-kilometer stretch between Koyembedu and Alandur has seen trial runs over the last few months and is awaiting the final clearance from the Commissioner of Railway Safety.

The puppet CM doesnt want to inaugurate the train as the master's case is still in court and without her consent nothing can happen.
But he can call her & get consent if he wants....Also I think court ruled that inauguration shouldn't be kept on hold because of political reasons & common man should be allowed to use immediately after completion...
