We have had enough news even before any official happens and i think its enough now.
Now even if Insat 4A dies, atleast we don't need to worry. Tata Sky can operate flawlessly for next 10-12 years. Only concern will be additional TP and channel additions.

Guys could you please explain how shifting satellites affects the user ? Will the costs come down ? Since existing service was good what will be the value add

HEVC compression is there to protect them any way just need migration of HD box.

Actually this migration has raised some questions................
what TS achieved by doing all this........apart from changing sat...............?........as I think Insat could have lasted 2 more years.
Will it be able to add more channels in next 10-12 years from this much bandwidth..............?

Not about other things but i think they must have convinced ISRO to pay lesser now for this Sat .
