Tata sky want secure future not just next 2 or 3 years, if they move on gsat with mpeg4 then problem will solve for for next 3 yrs but what next? Again same situation ! Ts will move by the end of year

I still don't understand how TS will struggle in future ? After adopting MPEG 4 DVB S2 also in UHD TP they will have HEVC compression they can adopt that in all TPs to create more space.

You have to match with your competitors to remain in business and currently d2h ,airtel are using same tp as ts with mpeg4 .
How can ts remain in competition with 12 tp while others have more than 20 tp in next few years. And mist important thing is that from 2009 isro not allowed tp capacity from insat , in this case we can't expect future delivery on time

There is no competition on TPs but competitions are on channel additions, if dishtv uses 21 + TPs then doesn't matter every DTH should have 21 + TPs. Biggest things which matters are channels, if d2h can be future ready with 12 + 13 TPs then what TS have to do with 20 + TPs ?

I know SATs having different configurations but if TS having latest technology can hold 50 + SD channels in 1 TP then whats the problem. I already said and having firm belief no matter whosoever thinks what, TS will never increase channels no. they will always have 350 to 400 + SD channels and since many premium peoples don't like to see SD channels then why we keep on praying infront of God and expecting TS to add more SD channels ? They can easily have 400 + SD channels at 7 TPs.

Rest left 3 TPs so again they're far away from other DTH currently they providing 13 HD channels then 13 * 3 TPs = 39 HD channels, and they don't even have this much currently. For 2 - 3 years this capacity is enough.

2 TPs for UHD which have HEVC compression currently we have no UHD channels and as I said don't expect plenty in 4 - 5 years. Even in next 10 years if we have more UHD channels then atleast TS will have the capacity of 12 4K channels in 2 TPs.

If TS migrates to HEVC compression in HD channels also then with that they can add 10 more HD channels in 3 TPs means 49 HD channels. Which they never add even if this much HD channels launches in India.

Regarding space are we sure that ISRO didn't planned any backup SAT of Insat 4A ? Once it got expired then what will happen to the operation which are conducting from Insat 4A ?

aumnamonarayan bro...why don't you create a separate thread explaining what is Push VoD and how it works without internet...I don't think this is really a good idea to discuss such crucial things in generic thread...there is a huge chance that not so frequent visitor will miss the information...

agree bro........because apart from increase in number of imp threads, this would facilitate searching for guests.........:up:
