I would say that choose according to channels, pricing that suits u. Videocon , Airtel and Tata Sky all r good but yes DVR of tata sky is a class above the rest. In Airtel u will get a DVR which is having old packaging and stored in godown for ages as no one buys their DVR

& Without blaming any dth
Like many people hates Dishtv for poor hardware & software
