Speculative Tata Sky moving to a New Satellite very soon

For those Subscribers who are still on MPEG2 boxes, both MPEG4 STB and dish alignment would be done at one shot. There will be some effect for MPEG2 subscribers

But will TS now go for mpeg4 migration.....I mean is it required if they are getting new TPs with abundant space....?
Definitely TS would like to save some money by indirectly forcing customers to purchase mpeg4 STBs.....?

I........... Tata Sky has sent mails to them that they are moving to a new satellite soon and are dispatching Hero Satellite Finders to them to align the dishes to new satellite accurately as the new satellite is just 2.7 degree apart from another satellite.

New sat which is just 2.7 deg apart means will TS use mono LNB like Dishtv now for future requirement......?

If at all TS is moving to a new satellite, I am expecting all the channels to be in MPEG4 on new Sat. When they have already alloted the amount for Migration, I am expecting them to complete it fully

No NinadG bro, what he meant was another satellite is present just 2.7 deg from the mentioned satellite which TS is going to use

AS 8 105.5 which is 2.7 deg from SES 7 108.2

But, I really liked the way TS started with MPEG4 migration where they sent SMS to those subscribers who had MPEG2 box mentioning that the channels to which they are subscribed is being moved to MPEG4 and STB will be replaced for free

I know, but if at all they are migrating to new Satellite, they would come up with neat plan on how to go about migrating each and every subscriber

Hoping so, last 2 years we spent time discussing MPEG4 migration, next 2 years we will spend time in discussing Satellite migration

Dish TV need not worry about this. If GSAT 15 @ 93.5 is successfully launched, then they can get TPs from that satellite as well
