One More Thing Is, It is not process of 2 or 6 months, it will take min of 1 to 1.5 years to replace & max 2-3 years.
For Example: splitter removal was not a big task but it was started in jan 2011 & not yet, till today its running. So after That TS will have some Plan B If GSAT will not be available.

I am planning to move out of Tata Sky and get D2H connection back even if they launch new channels as there package is pathetic and unfair for HD channels

HD Access policy is unfair. They are forcing their customers to take higher pack to see HD channels.

Two Methods Can attract Customers:-

1. Adding a huge amount of MPEG4 Channels(specially for south customers)

2. very attractive replace scheme with lower price.

I think 1st they have to drop this HD policy and then reduce package prices to a reasonable position.

HD Access Fee should be removed and create some good HD packs of different genres...

Even thought TS could not get GSAT 10 from ISRO...for sure better than that moving to MPEG 4 technology its a step forward for TS....

I this TS might allocate 1 more transponder for MPEG 4 at this point of time....by which they can add another 3 - 4 HD channels with 10 - 12 SD channels...

Why i am saying this because for some reason TS moving channels to some other TPs...i guess they might add those channels in MPEG 4 compression...

All higher pack channels will be on mpeg4 and other in mpeg2. And yes new channels will be only in mpeg4 format
