Tata Sky has pumped in heavy investment in this plus migration plus upgradation. It would run into millions or billions of crores. Now let's see how many chs they add

Too less of benefit...and on your argument about activating all channels for migration purpose. I trend to totally believe because if you remember earlier days tata sky used to have all channels active for 3 days during installation of a new connection...to check if all are coming (all channels are possible to subscribe by a subscriber in future) and then give him channels of his choice...
