I Think no need of SW Update to add new TPs . TS Have dynamic update feature. this will make the requiered minor changes .
Well is there enough time to update All STBs and so then get new channels or new TPs atleast minimum 2 weeks ?. if its for New TP addition then TS Users will get new channels after 6 months [I think this much time needed to update All STBs] only.

So, what happens in such case when Electricity is gone during update ??

Okie. Good then. I was once updating my Nokia Phone and due to low battery update didn't happened firmware was gone from phone. So i had to submit it to Service Centre.

Hence was curious to know how it happen in STB

Actually the SW will be corrupted and STB will be dead. thats y they r showing msg not to power off.
Sbhopale is lucky not corrupted.
