If TS can add 4K premium channel then why not SS HD ad-free premium channel..............There are many HD viewers compared to 4k..........so it makes business sense..............

Looks like for T20 WC there were not many takers of ads free channel and thats why they must have dropped the idea since this is 50 over WC and all matches are day time IST so there will be even more less takers .. But im sad as I would have 1000% subscribed to a advert free WC channel .. not to be :(

But Star would have spent money on license. So they should be able to recover atleast some amount...............:woot:

Very sad there was no premium channel this time .. Ind Pak match was getting telecast just fine until L shaped adverts also started popping in HD .. I dont know how someone like Star can do this .. PATHETIC .. And in this country no one can do anything just learn to live with it ..

I think now Star India is looking to promote Star Sports 4K they even added 4K at their brand video too. So now their concentration is 4K channel rather HD Premium Ad Free Channel.

I think they way star did in 2011 world cup, launched 2 HD channels, they will add 2 4K channels in next world cup..

if ad free HD channel is launched, then dth ops might choose any one and some dths don't agree to terms and conditions of star.
