Lets explain me, most of connections are from rural area, when they go to purchase connection from dealer, they take DTH recommended by retailer. They are aware about fact, forum. When connection installed at home and watched some time/days they know that there are very few channels. In rural area there are no choice to take another DTH connection due to economic condition. But when they meet to dealer, he again recommed to take STB of dish tv in very low price Rs.500 for 2 months free. In this way.
If all DTH operator provide their active customer data, then 40% are deactive accounts will be found. Above 30% people have 2 DTH STB in home, in which one is active.
Simple example i have 3 connection but only 1 is active. Please share your no. Of connections friends

I have 3 connections 1 Tata sky, dishtv true Hd and videocond2h HD. mine d2h is currently active and mine dish TV has been damaged while transportation and current TS box is of some one else which came to be by mistake of packers and movers. I have sold mine own Tatasky 2 STB's and dish SD STB last year.

As far as i seen most of the rural people r intrested in certain regional language channels . Also they wants low priced Base pack which contains their favourite channels. In few locations only 1 or 2 DTH services r available and that depends upon the demands.
few educated people who wants bit advanced quality/service r going to towns and getting their DTH connections.
As far as service is concerned i didnt faced any such issues in specially Dish TV,Sun Direct,Tatasky and RDTV which i had and have 2 now.

Agreed.They only need regional channels with lowest price.
