Breaking News Tatasky testing NE TV in MPEG4

This Test channel was in MPEG4 itself when started . now they updated with NE TV

1 more query - does this channel added in HD channel transponder or added in the same transponder of MPEG 2....

If my information is correct which i had posted yesterday...i guess very soon we can expect Adithya and Makkal TV (Tamil channels may be moved MPEG 4) and also we can expect Zee Tamil and Discovery Tamil too...

All new MPEG4 Channels r in SD TP only. No chance of adding SD Channels in HD TP.

My source informed as All new channels will be in MPEG4 only and that bcome true now. so i am not expecting any migration of channels untill the dead line for Exchanging STBs

Next query..is it possible to add channels in MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 compression in the same transponders ?

Yes it can be done in TPs. AFAIK there is nothing as MPEG2 TP or MPEG4 TP. that depends upon the user ie: Broadcaster or DTH of the TP how wants to use the bandwidth .

Then i am very confident that TS will add couple of Tamil Channels with in a month or 2...

Digitization Phase 3 and 4 is important for dth because no strong presence of MSO''s in semi urban and rural area.
