How can they provides HD services in Music and Movies, can you elaborate ??? This not a guts that they're giving Upscaled Version of a SD channels and not a single broadcaster is saying anything, not a single DTH is saying anything, this is not a guts they're advertising about TLC HD and the channel is not even available from broadcaster end and Discovery Network not even against this.

Almost all DTH have objected the advertisement of Upscaled HD by Dish TV when they introduced. And that's the time Tru and Asli HD kind of words came into existence.

Reliance too introduced upscaled channels at that time but they never advertised it as HD channels.

We have discussed about this a hell lot of in various forums before. We on internet and forums know what is Asli HD and what is upscaled HD but a normal person who goes to a retail store isn't aware of this

So, they used to opt Dish TV because they found the HD count higher there.

Regarding objection from Broadcaster, that's really a concern. Dish is a alliance if Zee Group and they themselves are big broadcasters. Also I don't think there was any loss for them from this cheap tactics of Dish TV. So, that may be the reason too for no objection.

Bro. dishtv invested in INSAT 4B too if TATA(SKY or other DTH wants to pay even double amount of what dishtv is paying for SES 8 they can't get the TPs from this SAT because then the whole settlement of ISRO with dishtv will come under huge problem

But ISRO has to be impartial with all operators. No doubt that Dish is getting the benefit of being 1st DTH operator everywhere but instead of being associated with media they use cheap and false tactics to bluff subscribers.

Anyways if UHD is the future, some day Dish TV too will start such services.

Thats a reason I told you dishtv invested in INSAT 4B too and thats a reason dishtv always beam some unofficial FTA channels to support DD FD too like right now they're doing don't think that whatever dishtv is getting from INSAT 4B is free, dishtv have to pay some amount to DD.
