TCS hopes bonus payout will help contain high attrition
Country's largest software exporter TCS on Friday said it hopes the Rs 2,628-crore (Rs 26.28 billion) bonus to its lakhs of employees will help contain the high attrition level.
"The bonus does not cover some of the subsidiaries and it is primarily for TCS staff.....TCS global HR head Ajoy Mukherjee told PTI in an interaction.
He also denied that the rising attrition levels, which he described as "high", had anything to do with announcing the bonus.
The Tata Group company, contributes over 60 per cent to the group's net income.....
However, the announcement comes when the attrition levels have reached the highest in recent times at 14.9 per cent.
Mukherjee attributed the spike in attrition, which is at the highest since FY12, to opportunities available to employees outside the company as things start looking up for IT companies.
