The Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has adjourned the direct-to-home (DTH) customer premises equipment (CPE) case to 8 July. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has filed its reply. Videocon d2h has filed its rejoinder while the DTH Association is expected to file its rejoinder in three weeks. In the earlier hearing, the tribunal had directed TRAI to file a short reply to the issue of interim relief prayed for on behalf of the appellants by 18 May, and a rejoinder, if any, by 22 May. The DTH Association, Videocon d2h, and Sun Direct had appealed against TRAI’s tariff order for CPE that capped the installation and activation charges for DTH customer CPE at Rs 450.
