The Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed headend-in-the-sky (HITS) operator Noida Software Technology Park Ltd (NSTPL) to pay Rs 1.2 crore (Rs 12 million) to Taj Television in three equal instalments within the space of two weeks each. NSTPL operates its HITS service under JAINHITS brand. The first instalment will have to be paid on 12 May, the second on 26 May, and the third on 9 June. The tribunal said that the amount would also carry interest @14 per cent per annum computable from 29 April till the last payment on 9 June.
