The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed Headend-in-the-sky (HITS) operator Noida Software Technology Park Ltd (NSTPL) and TV channel distributor MSM Discovery to execute the interconnect agreement within ten days from today. This, is, however, subject to renewal of HITS operators’ licence. The tribunal has also directed MSM Discovery to restore the supply of its channels to NSTPL latest by tomorrow morning. The matter has been put up under the same heading on 19 August. NSTPL, which operates its HITS service under JAINHITS brand, had moved TDSAT against MSM Discovery for deactivating the signals of its channels due to non-payment of outstanding dues and non-execution of interconnect agreement due to non-submission of valid HITS licence. NSTPL counsel Dayan Krishnan stated that all the dues are now paid to the distributor.
