News TDSAT issues notice to Siti Cable for denying carriage to Jindal-linked Positiv TV

There is a battle brewing between Subhash Chandra-promoted multi-system operator (MSO) Siti Cable and Positiv TV, a television news network that has been linked to Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) chairman and Congress leader Naveen Jindal.

Positiv TV, which runs a suite of six news channels, has dragged Siti Cable to the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) for deliberately not carrying its channels. While the petitioner’s name on the tribunal’s website has been mentioned as ‘Positive TV’, the company is registered under the name ‘Positiv TV’. Promoted by Assam Congress leader Matang Sinh, Positiv TV owns and operates Focus News, Focus Haryana, Focus NE, Focus Hi Fi, Focus Odisha and Focus Bangla.
