A day after e-commerce major Flipkart walked out from Airtel Zero, online travel services provider Cleartrip on Wednesday pulled out of Facebook- and Reliance Communications-promoted platform Internet.org amid raging debate over Net neutrality.
Zuckerberg opined that the principle of net neutrality makes sure that Internet service providers don't discriminate and limit access to services people want to use.
Even as high pitch demands are being made to protect the Internet and promote net neutrality, experts in the Telecom Ministry are claiming that the real issue is getting lost in the noise. According to sources at Sanchar Bhawan, Internet users in India must focus on ensuring that they get equitable access to content over the Internet rather than crying for net neutrality.
