Just In: jio doesn't have a dth license as of now, but has a cable tv license.
So I don't think it'll be an iptv service. It'll be a digital cable tv service, but they won't lay extra coaxial wires for cable tv. Instead they'll use their existing optical fibre of jio broadband. And since same medium is used for both cable tv and broadband, they can easily give broadband to their cable tv subscribers.
Maybe they are calling it dth because the optical fibre is comming "direct tio home", but thats called ftth, right? Ambani is doing word play it seems..
