The News Hour debate on Times Now yesterday was appalling. Yes, we lost and we could have played better but words like "humiliated, disgraced" etc. are way over the top. Also one can question the tactics used yesterday or decisions made on the field of play but questioning the effort and commitment of the team and particularly its Captain are just not fair.
Our team has actually played above themselves to reach the semi finals. This is by no stretch of imagination a great team.We(including yours truly) deluded ourselves (helped by media hype and the team's early performances) that we could retain the Cup or at least reach the final. For four weeks they kept the dream alive. We have to thank them for that.
They have bowed out with honor and have given us many moments to remember, of the win over Pakistan, of the victory over South Africa and of a seven match unbeaten run. And to MSD who stood on the burning deck and fought to the bitter end, a salute. India could not have hoped for a better Captain. Thank You Men in Blue, for all the memories.

I think Times Now knows the general public mentality & excels in exploiting the situation for their own good....
Considering news channels cut-throat competition where even seconds delay is crucial, decisions need to be taken quickly....This leads to employing different tactics without much consideration. It may sometimes lead to such negative situation but most of the times, Times Now has been able to garner most eyeballs & thus TRP ratings...
In todays world where many celebrities consider negative publicity good for their career & even strives for it, the negative publicity of Times Now may be sought after....
So it won't be surprising if Times Now again gets more TRP ratings this week than usual.....
