The Tamil Nadu government would implement BharatNet project on the lines of AP Fiber Grid. The Tamil Nadu FiberNet would link more than 12,500 rural local bodies at an investment of Rs 3,000 crore.

The state is also planning to provide IPTV services to all rural households through Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable Corporation (TACTV) as it has received Internet service provider license from department of telecommunications (DoT). TACTV has also signed an agreement with RailTel for providing high speed broadband services.

The government intends to create overhead fiber network across Andhra Pradesh state. The fiber will be laid overhead using the network of electricity poles across the state so that state, district, zonal and mandals are connected with each other using ring topology as much as possible and approximate length of fiber is around 22,500 Km.

As part of project implementation, PoP would be created at the state, district and mandal level. The objectives of the PoPs would be to enable the customers/ecosystem partners like local cable operators to have easy access to the network. A total of 2,449 PoPs is to be created across the state.

Each and every state govt want to implement their own model. These politicians want to convert state into a separate country.
