Shivarajkumar starrer Om directed by Upendra considered to be a landmark film in Kannada film industry will soon be aired on television. As per the latest buzz, the TV rights of Om have been sold to Udaya channel for a whopping amount of `10 crore. When some of today's films are really finding it difficult to get statellite rights, this particular film even after 20 years is generating a lot of interest among the cinegoers. The film released in 1995, portrayed the Bengaluru underworld through which Shivarajkumar became an action hero. Even though the film has re-released more around 632 times and in 400 theatres across Karnataka, the craze to watch the film over and over again has not died down among the viewers.
The film was also re-released this year on March 12 in around 100 theatres in a digital format. Now, it remains to be seen if the TRP ratings of the channel will zoom, when Om is aired on the small screen. The film also saw Prema in the cast.
