To attract a large set of young and unmarried customers, Oyo Rooms, a hotel aggregator, has introduced a new feature that allows unmarried couples to book rooms in some of its properties. Started as a pilot around two months back, the hotels allowing unmarried couples are listed under the relationship mode of its website and mobile app, which lets couples get rooms by showing their local identity proofs.
Oyo, which offers 70,000 rooms in 200 cities, claims that 60% of its total inventory now allows this feature. The couple-friendly rooms are now present across 100 cities, the company said, including all metros and top leisure destinations.
