Discussion Unprofessional Installation by TS

Hi guys, yesterday my neighbor brought new TS connection. He has a 55" Samsung Full HD LED TV.

He called up TS CC and the installation guys came in the afternoon to do the installation. The engineers didn't look like at all they are experienced. they installed the STB and at the same time they went outside the balcony and installed the Dish base/stand. Then they measured the cable length from Dish to STB and cut the cable. They put the hook for the cable so that it is wired in shape. It was done neatly.

Later they installed the dish reflector along with the LNB, they powered on the STB which was connected to the sat finder, that was connected to the dish. The engineer started to moved the dish, the Sat Finder started giving out sound (beeps). According to the sat finder the beep becomes longer and continues the more stronger the signal received. The engineer didn't keep it at the highest beep, but infect he kept in in medium beep which mean medium signal. Then he removed the sat finder and put the cable back from the STB.

Also the engineer forgot to keep extra cable length near the dish and also to loop the cable at the dish stand, also he didn't keep ant "U" shape cable at the LNB. All this is there for other dishes.

Usually they don't do like this. Ask their friend to email their management. Installation should happen neatly.

I having and using Digital Cable TV know how an installation of DTH must happen. Unfortunately my neighbor lack that knowledge. But I already told him about this, and I also checked his signal settings in STB, he is getting somewhere between 40%-60%. Keeps changing. Also the dish is installed outside the balcony on the slab, I feel that's not the right place to install as there are buildings on all sides. He said he will call the CC and tell them about the unprofessional installation. In short one can say that the installation is done in such a way that it looked like the engineers were in a hurry.

Also it is not necessary to keep the SAT finder on till the high beep they don't have this much time to keep on waiting. There is a point when Technicians knows that they have to position the Reflector once it achieved its all over.
