In a bizarre incident, a Bahujan Samaj Party MLA was held hostage by residents over constant power cuts in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli district on Saturday.

The MLA and a local councillor had gone to greet residents on the ocassion of Id but they refused to accept it and held them hostage.
