I have tried to record MAHABHARATA on Star Plus HD few days back. I have set the schedule record time Start and end point. I kept on my STB but after 45 minutes I saw no recording was made moreover the space showing 63% free which was 94% before recording. I went to record library and saw "No Recording". It's strange.

That means recording started but got failed hence reduction of free space but since recording wasn't successful, it showed no recordings.

1. Any USB external storage with 4GB and above upto 1 TB should work.

2. No specific brand as being communicated by d2h

3. As per user reviews, recording is smooth.

4. Yes. If unplugged and used somewhere else recording will be lost.

Also, you will either be record or watch one channel area time. But you will be able to watch one and record another if both channels will be in same transponder.

One more important think should be noted. After 7days all recorded programmes will be automatically deleted. No other option to set for validity. It's by default 7days.

yes, only for 7 days the recording is available and for me one time recording charge fee was deducted from my account.

This is pathetic as in dishtv its not like that Months ago I record R Rajkumar still not able to watch this movie but its still available.

When I last checked there was an option to keep recording forever but I think that option is not working due to bug in present software.

Someone pls check the settings and confirm if such setting is available
