Ajith Kumar Scores Big HIT with Vedalam
Ajith Kumar is all set to score a Big HIT with `Vedalam`. The film has opened to a Stunning Response at the Box-office in Traditional Tamil Markets dominating `Thoongavanam`. `Vedalam` is Tamil Cinema`s Biggest Opening EVER in Tamilnadu now as well as Malaysia (Weekend). 4.ராகுல் தேவ் (வேதாளம் படத்தின் வில்லன்) தனது ட்விட்டர் கணக்கில் வேதாளம் படம் 100கோடி வசூல் என்று பதிவு செய்தார்.அவரிடம் ஒரு அஜித் ரசிகன் ஆதாரம் கேட்டதற்கு நானே அஜித் ரசிகர்களின் ட்வீட்ஸ்களை பார்த்து தான் பதிவு செய்தேன் என பல்டி அடித்து விட்டார்.எனவே அஜித் ரசிகர்களால் இந்த பதிவையும் ஆதாரமாக சொல்ல இயலாது.
5.வீரம் படம் 130கோடி என்று சொன்ன அதே பத்திரிகை தான் கோச்சடையான் 500கோடி வசூல் என்றும் சொல்லியது.எனவே இதுவும் ஆதாரமாக ஏற்று கொள்ள இயலாது.

Producer AM Rathnam talks about Vedalam's collections
There is this big buzz about Vedalam grossing around 100 crores worldwide after a great run over the past two weeks.
We contacted producer A.M.Rathnam for his take on this story, and this is what he had to say,
"There are a lot of ignorant people talking on the internet about 100 crores, 200 crores etc. I doubt, whether they know much about what gross or net or share is, and also about the various stakeholders involved.
All I can say is that the film is doing very well, despite the rains. We felt just about a 10 to 15% impact in collections because of the rain. A film which is seen this much by the audience is definitely a successful film and I have to thank the audience. I don't generally open up about the collections of my films, since the days of Indian.
Unless there is proper revision of ticket rates from the current levels in the state, transparency and authorized ticket rates followed in all theaters, it is not possible to talk about collections openly in Tamil cinema in its current state."

These days many producers do not giving official collections because of tax problem that is the reason they are giving leaks to social media.But In Tamil industry i have observed one thing they are giving info like 100+ cr crossed.which is gross not share.Our telugu and tamil industries considers on share not gross.Telugu industry never think about gross they only tells about share(which is true or false which is different matter). In telugu many movies crossed 100+ cr gross but they never said like this.
