The three Tests will be played at Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. The ODIs have been allotted to Kolkata, Vishakhapatnam, Cuttack, Dharamshala and Kochi while the lone T20I will be played at Delhi.
West Indies are scheduled to arrive early October and the entire tour will go on until the third week of November.
The decision was taken at the Technical and Tour Programme and Fixtures Committees meeting on Saturday.
The Technical Committee headed by Anil Kumble also decided on some key changes to the domestic schedule this year with the World Cup scheduled early in 2015.
"Limited-overs tournaments be played before the Ranji Trophy in the 2014-15 season, to provide domestic cricketers an opportunity to perform before the Indian team for the ICC CWC 2015 is picked," said a media release.
