Videocon d2h’s top management team is moving out and will not be part of the merged entity. Videocon d2h’s chief operating officer (COO) Himanshu Patil, a senior pay TV professional with nearly 30 years of overall experience, has resigned and will be starting his own technology venture. As reported earlier, deputy chief executive officer (CEO) Rohit Jain will depart from the company by the end of this month.
Patil will now try to grow his own venture named Cloudpoint Technologies Ltd. He is setting up a start-up focused on customer lifecycle management, along with his colleague Vinod Hakhu, who heads subscriber management at Videocon d2h. Together they have rich experience of more than five decades of setting up and running customer-facing businesses in pay TV, consumer durables, ITES and retail.
