Looking at the fate of my friend's sony tv pannel which lasted just for 6 months, I have taken one precaution - I have connected the tv via UPS.

When i enquired about such untimely fate of my TV, there were various reasons

1. Sudden poweroff due to power cut (Me including many)
2. Bad HDMI couple (Samsung guy who came to install new TV)
3. Panel Life as per Sony officials
4. Panel Life by a Ex-LG Engineer

And then i analyzed various complaint across internet and concluded that first two reason depend upon fate but last two reasons are bitter truth.

yeah even we have made stabilizer-vgurad precautions right from start. for 4K it's must in coming years. Atleast Inverter in frequent power cuts.
Since having Inverter+Stabilizer now, i don't think so bell alarm hazard will be on tv
But again Power cuts off n on and it's sync up transition time with Inverter, once battery got discharged based on usage made.

Yes...having a shock absorber like UPS should help...even if suddenly light goes I can switch off the tv in usual way using remote...and for a costly tv 1400rs is okay for UPS.

For LCD/LED Back light LCD TVs require a good quality voltage regulator having followings as must.

1.A small delay of 2-3 second during turn on of o/p voltage.

2.No switching delays even milli secs during operation. Need good stabilizers having transformer primary switching technology to regulate op voltage without break during voltage correction during operation.

Actually in Mumbai, power failure happens very very rare.

So, no one has a habit and need to keeping UPS. i think in last 5-6 years i have seen power failure twice or thrice only.
But still go for it IM bhai...it is also building specific...when my friend was in one society nothing happened. And he shifted to another, no power cut as such, something suspecious happened (may be sparking or voltage fuktuation) and pannels of his sony, samsung tv and pannel of his sony laptop got damaged.

OK. As everyone is suggesting let me go for it then. Can i connect one UPS with LED as well as DVR both ?
yes it's possible having 2 I/P Plug sockets to UPS/stabilizer.(check but model, back design with size of TV & DVR connector)

If you don't need backup battery time facility(15-30min)then Go for Economical V-gurad Stabilizer. Will save some money here than opting a bit costly UPS(mainly used to require in PC)

If frequent Power cuts are there then always have Inverter(Microwave) In place with good battery capacity.
A bit costly but worth at any Power failure.
