i have updated from sd to hd 2011 in the month of august

i paid for 6 months and got this new box free of cost

i want to update to new hd stb 2222

i asked them is there any option and they are saying that i have to pay 3000 something and i have to buy a new hd stb 2222..they have no such 6 months/1 year etc free of cost exchange offer

what should i do for exchange offer???

As far as i know, they had upgrade offer for initial 1 week of 2222 launch but then they discontinued it.

One way you can pressurize them is by saying that 2011 do not have recording facility and as promised they have to failed to provide it even after one year of promising, hence they should accept their fault and upgrade your STB.

If you start building pressure on them by mailing again and again, they will surely be bound enough to consider your upgradation.

if they still say to buy new 2222, ask for refund of 2011 and say that you are ready to buy new. So, cancel the box in which promise of USB recording was not fulfilled.

A software upgrade for the HD Set Top boxes is being planned in the next few weeks. This upgrade will have improved features, which includes Recording and Playback from USB storage devices. In this way, the USB port in your HD STB can be used effectively.


But please note that, to enable recording features, activation and subscription as applicable, will be necessary.


A similar upgrade is planned for Standard Definition Boxes with USB port (1111-U). Bu the date is not yet finalized.

total 3 good news

1-they will update hd 2011 software with in few weeks for recording/dolby etc

2-they will provide recording for sd 1111 box too in near future through usb pd

3-hd to hd upgradation is coming soon :yahoo::thankyou:

Anyone using 2222 HD stb?
Does anyone know about any cons or pros comparing old 2011 HD box by experience?
i'm asking bcoz engineer told me that old 2011 is better than new 2222 stb.
