Breaking News Videocon D2H To Add Around 15 HD Channels

Inspite of having ample space, dish hasnt added the basic Dolby surround in all the channels that has it and they were late to add star sports HD channels and their own sister's HD channels on the platform. Being an audiophile, on any day i would go for dish unless they add DD sound, the biggest drawback inspite of leader in HD channels.


Cisco had its STB division which later acquired by Technicolor.

You mean you like Dolby Digital and that's why you're away from DishTV because they don't have Dolby Digital on all the channels?

This is the only reason I am not using Dish TV.if not I would have been used dish TV only.

I am not sure how the news of CISCO being carried out in the forum as per my understanding D2H & cisco partnered to launch 4K boxes, Videocon D2H has their manufacturing plant near pune for STB, in the current scenario when they are pumping their STB from Pune why will they import specially when the country climate is "MAKE IN INDIA".
Importing will increase their cost unless they get some subsidy from government or does the thread mean that CISCO will make STB in INDIA.

Yes exactly same reason for me to go for TS after ditching d2h.
DD sound is mandatory if you wish to really enjoy HD channels.

I use AV cable for audio output on computer speakers. I haven't enjoyed Dolby Digital yet. Maybe I need a Digital home theatre with receiver for it.

Cisco might have outsourced its software UI and not the boxes, ,boxes are from technicolor.

if your TV supports DD, then you can enjoy virtual surround.
