இளையதளபதி விஜய் நடித்த 'தெறி' திரைப்படம் நேற்று முன் தினம் தமிழ்ப்புத்தாண்டில் ரிலீஸ் ஆகி மாபெரும் வரவேற்பை பெற்று நல்ல வசூலுடன் உலகம் முழுவதும் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றது.

விஜய்யின் அதிரடி ஆக்சன் மற்றும் எமோஷனல் நடிப்பு, அட்லியின் விறுவிறுப்பான திரைக்கதை, சமந்தா-எமிஜாக்சன் ஆகிய இரண்டு ஹீரோயின்களின் எண்ட்ரி, நைனிகா, மொட்டை ராஜேந்திரனின் நடிப்பு, ஜி.வி.பிரகாஷின் இசை மற்றும் பல பாசிட்டிவ் காரணங்களால் 'தெறி' திரைப்படம் ஹவுஸ்புல் காட்சிகளாக அனைத்து திரையரங்குகளிலும் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருகின்றது.

இந்நிலையில் நடிகர் விஜய் தனது சமூக வலைத்தளத்தில் 'தெறி' படத்தை வெற்றிப்படமாக்கிய ரசிகர்களுக்கு நன்றி தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

another thing in TN multiplex only allows only 4 shows on week days and 5 shows on holidays and weekends where as now in telugu states it is 6-7 shows per day in one screen in all of the multiplexes.

see jungle book and fan(dolby atmos) both are in one screen shows and 6 to 7 are showing.another thing telangana govt given acceptance for 5 shows in a day for single screens.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Theri has taken a humongous opening and has created new record in many territories. In Tamil Nadu, the film has approximately grossed 13.5 cr on its first day and it is career best opening for Vijay. Apparently, Theri wasn’t screened in nearly 60 theaters in Chengalpattu but still the opening was phenomenal. “#Theri - Thursday, April 14- TN Net (Tax Free) without taking #Chengalpet - Rs 13.5 Cr (Approximate) - Superb, #Vijay's highest day 1”, posted senior Tamil trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai. In Kerala, Theri has surpassed Shankar’s ‘I’ by grossing 3.3cr and the film has registered the biggest opening ever in Mollywood. In USA, Theri has become unstoppable that the film has grossed half a million dollar mark and trade pundits predict that it will easily cross one million, which has been achieved only by Shankar, Rajini and Kamal Haasan. Not only USA, Theri has taken a tremendous opening in key overseas markets as well. “Going through the international data and I must say, Tamil film #Theri has taken a SUPERB start in key international markets”, wrote trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter.

Chennai: Superstar Vijay's Tamil actioner "Theri" has performed handsomely at the box-office by raking in Rs. 21 crore in just two days since its release on Thursday in Tamil Nadu, a trade analyst said.

"In just two days in Tamil Nadu, 'Theri' has approximately minted Rs. 21 crore. It was expected to collect more, but since it hadn't released in a few screens in Chengalpet area in Tamil Nadu, the opening numbers were affected," trade analyst Trinath told IANS.

Directed by Atlee, the film features Vijay as a police officer and a doting father.

Trinath expects the film to do much better over the weekend.

"Going by the positive word-of-mouth, the film is expected to do very good business during the weekend. It could easily collect over Rs. 40 crore," he said.

Meanwhile, "Theri" is having a dream run in North America, and according to its distributor CineGalaxy Inc it has collected $390,000 from two days, which is the highest for a non-Rajinikanth starrer.
