MH Jawahirullah, MLA and President, Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam, said that the representatives of various Muslim organisations met the City Police Commissioner S George yesterday demanding that the screening of the movie be banned. “The screening of Vishwaroopam will affect social harmony in the state. We plan to meet the Home Secretary, besides moving the Censor Board,” Jawahirullah said in a tabloid interview.
It’s learnt that these organisations had earlier demanded to see the film prior to its release, expressing concern over the depiction of their community in the movie. The multilingual film was all set to release on January 25 in Tamil and Telugu, February 1 in Hindi and it was to be shown on DTH on February 2. We really hope that the versatile actor’s woes end soon and he faces no more trouble and Vishwaroopam sees the light of the day.

Once Censor Board passes the movie, it rarely gets banned in India. And if anyone trying to implement BAN can be ruled out by Supreme court.

All d hue n cry regarding Vishwaroopam was a part of very creative strategy by their team. Initially it was et to release on DTH, then plan was cancelled....basically Kamal Hassan made a fool out of eveybody, the DTH companies, and the common man.

Thtas why I dont give much importance to all these gimmicks, only meant to fill their pockets up... and nothing else.
