First and foremost, its very evident that Mr. Nagpal does not have intention to add new channels. There could have been so many ways to increase bandwidth in last so many years but he preferred giving excuses to hide the real intention. He has a simple funda of giving less chanels, keep package prices high, launch more premium services and by all these means garner healthy revenue.
Also the fact is that , have you seen how eagerly they create space for Premium Services/Channels and when one asks even for a Standard Definition channel they keep repeating on a continuing basis that we don't have bandwidth. I had recently written to them to know about the satellite migration and they gave same bandwidth issue excuse in return and that we are working on ways to increase bandwidth (which they will continue even when i become 80 years old)
So when this reporter interviewed him, either he would ave said in advance that do not ask about our our bandwidth as we can't reveal or if the reporter would have asked then he would have skipped the question.
The CAG report made it quite evident that Tata Sky was at fault at not taking GSAT10 Transponders, they could have easily used it and on the other hand completed MPEG4 Migration which would have given them ample bandwidth. Of course i still remember Mr. Nagpal's deadline of completing MPEG4 Migration by June-July 2014, the less i talk about it, its better. Later on, ISRO could have launched new satellite on tat orbit for use by Tata Sky.
Now if they have opted for Foreign Satellite after getting pissed off with ISRO for delays in launching satellite then were are the Press Release of signing the agreement, there is nothing except except their propaganda team circulating rumors.
So, just chill. If you are unhappy then opt out, Tata Sky will do nothing till a person who cares for customers takes over and maintains balance between demands and revenues

........I will disagree a little .. Few months back or say a year back we did not have most of the HD channels in TS .. But they have provided all the channels now barring a few like Travel XP HD and say a History Tv HD .. This does not mean that I am supporting TS in anyway all im trying to say is that the picture is not so negative on how its made out to be .. Yes I would like all the HD channels on TS and maybe with time they will add .. As far as premium channels go everyone here sadly is to make money so ofcourse for extra revenue they will create space .. Havent we seen similar greed with sports channels ?? First we didnt have L shaped adverts on HD and they were in plenty during ODIS in India ..
TS may be expensive but they are pretty decent in CC and also their DVR STB is one of the best in the market .. So for me its very worth the price ..

Yes they r forcing us to subscribe mega hd...As a TS subscriber, I am pretty much happy with them and only thing which I don't like is their HD Access Fee
