What are you saying bro, How Digital cable better ?? I will give u example of my MSO in my area.
They sell SD STB for Rs 2000, and HD STB for Rs 2500-2800
Monthly they charge Rs 350-500. And also there is frequent signal issues, no signal, pixelation,
Also frequent removal of Star, Zee, Sony and Colors packages due to technical, non payment of dues, which once removed will only come after weeks.
DTH is way better than this, i was also a Digital cable user but after facing these issues i switched to DTH and now i am happy.

I think the cost is because import duties on the boxes are higher.

Digital cable is reliable as the price rise will only be annual basis and if the MSO strike the deal with broadcasters as and when required then it will be viable in the current scenario

In my area GTPL Hathway SD STB costs Rs500 and HD STB costs 1500.
Monthly charges rs250 + I'm getting HD channels for Free
.I never faced any no signal issue till now...
That only few MSO are good, rest small MSO are not at all professional when it comes to giving good and quality service. I have been using Cable and then Digital Cable for years, but nothing changes and they remove channels anytime of the year as they wish. Its a very much discomfort for TV viewers as they cannot get to see their shows.
