Bro it differs place to place..
In my area GTPL Hathway SD STB costs Rs500 and HD STB costs 1500.
Monthly charges rs250 + I'm getting HD channels for Free .
I never faced any no signal issue till now...

Yes place to place. Ur MSO is good, and gives quality service. My MSO is not like that, they have numerous issues and customers are very angry with their services. The issue with MSO/LCO is they charge the customers whatever price they wish.

Also another point people now dont have to deal with poor PQ / AQ even in digital cable. They have DTH as an option and its very much affordable. In the long term Packages will play an important role as no one will want to watch 1000 channels and pay for all. Many MSO like mine still do not have package system, and they will have difficulties in the future as they wont be able to carry all important channels and charge the same Rs 350 in coming years.
