Update Whatsapp introduces voice messaging

Whatsapp has launched voice messaging. It offers this service via one touch. I just updated my whatsapp today and found it working great.
It now needs to seen how telecom companies react to it because whats app and such apps had already begun eating into their sms revenue.

See the microphone icon down there. You need to press and hold this and record your message. You can even listen to the message You sent

Just Now tried it and its working very nicely. Don't know from when it got started but didn't noticed it.

It has been enabled via the update that began since yesterday.

Even I didn't noticed this great feature. In Android, app got updated last on 31st July but even the latest Update didn't didn't mention about this feature.

So, i guess this feature is available since quite long time but we never noticed. Good Catch and update timkamat

No IndianMascot bro, this feature has been added only via the latest update. If the last update for android was on 31st July, this should have come along with it. However for Nokia (symbian belle) this feature came up today via version 2.11.16 this evening(the app has again received an update to 2.11.20). Whatsapp however does not provide any changelog with any update.

Yes bro. Most of the apps releases update 1st on Android and iOS and later on Nokia, Blackberry and other phones.

But anyways thanks again for highlighting this great feature. I already sent voice message to more than 20 friends
