we were not that advanced to use PC. I owned PC only in 3rd year of my college that is in 2007 and vlc was popular. also used only stereo speakers creative.

Technoglitch, I still own creative 4.1 speakers connected to my TV and I am so happy with it that not planning for Home Theater till it collapses and since its 5 year old and still performing at its best, I am sure it will work for another 3-4 years.
Regarding desktop, I used desktop for 4-5 years when I was in college. At That time laptop were costly and not popular.
I purchased 1st laptop in 2006 compact Presario which is still alive. In 2012, I purchased Sony Vaio, a big one with 15" full HD screen with Dolby Digital audio and back light keyboards.
The audio in this new laptop is mind blowing

Because earlier THX TRuStudio PC was under only THX.com and Now it comes under Creative.

THX TruStudio PC is a software program developed by Creative Technology Ltd. During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The primary executable is named THXAudio.exe. The setup package generally installs about 11 files and is usually about 5.16 MB (5,412,596 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 8. While about 77% of users of THX TruStudio PC come from the United States, it is also popular in Canada and Japan.

This is really good. I persoanlly feel Creative should come into Home Entertainment.
