We people have stopped exploring market before buying online. Just for example: I wanted to buy a drill kit of bosch. Amazon listed it at 4500, paytm after cashback 4000 and local dealer 3600+vat. All products these days are marked higher to show bigger discount amount.

I know the person who manufactures for Bombay dyeing. He told me there are 2 type of products being made. First for retail sale which is a better product, another a inferior product for ecom sales. Ecom product is marked up just for offering discounts.

not in case of all ecoms. Myntra and Jobong are selling original and durable things. Whereas on Amazon and Flipkart we don't get original boutiques
