No stranger to controversies, independent Jammu and Kashmir legislator Engineer Rashid sparked a fresh row on Wednesday after he was seen in a video clip telling somebody that he will "hand him over" to the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba tonight.
According to the local BJP unit, Mr Rashid and his supporters who were sitting on a protest in Pulwama, about 40 km from Srinagar, got into a scuffle with some supporters of the party.
Someone among BJP supporters allegedly called Mr Rashid a terrorist and he retorted to the allegation, saying he will hand him over to the Lashkar. In the video clip, however, it is unclear who the apparent threat is addressed to.
