HELP Will Tata Sky or other Operators require Monoblock LNB to recieve signal from GSAT-10 ?

^^

This is what I was also assuming. But when googled , I found out that even 3 Degree of variations require a MonoBlock LNB. So, I feel even Zero Degree too will require it.

Shaileshp : So, you will post all useless things but not clear my doubts ??

Anyone else can please clarify whether Tata Sky would require a monoblock LNB to receive signals from GSAT-10 or Tata Sky users will be able to use the existing LNG for getting signals from both the Satellites.

:anyone:

Tatasky is too using Universal LNB .

No need change to mono block lnb for Tatasky to recieve signals from G SAT 10 + Insat 4a. They r suppose to be in same orbit. even it is mere 1 digree differance still i presume as no need to change any lnb.

What if both the satellites are in same direction/angle?
A software update can be done to receive signal from both satellites so TS doesn't need monoblock. Dish needs monoblock as insat and other is separated at an angle.

I presume you have got the answer in above post.

monoblock is used to catch signals from two satellites separated at max 5 degrees.
I have a dish aligned to Insat 4a @83*e added another lnb . i am catching signals from ST2 @88*e + Measat 3 @91.5* e in the secondary lnb. perhaps it is first time i have seen in a forum xtra lnb is recieving 2 satellites with so much distance by any sat-tracker. Distance in 8.5 digree i am catching signals from single xtra lnb. :anyone: .

Are you sure ?? How can I scan TPs of 91.5 Deg. If you are getting then, I should also get that. Isn't it ??

why does dish tv uses monoblock then? what abt the lnbs supplied by them Satracker
The diffrance or distance in between it's 2 satellites NSS 6 @95* & Asiasat 5 @100.5 * is 5.5. so dish tv has to use monoblock lnb to get signals from both. they are not using monoblock lnb for sd connections. as i said they are getting signals from 95 * & 93.5 * in single universal lnb itself. the distance is only 1.5*.

You can also get if you add another lnb . you have to align to perfection. it may depend on the dish too including the size. i am using dish tv dish aligned to Insat 4a . if you are using the d2h BIG Dish it is easy to get.
