The police have arrested a 25-year-old woman and her paramour for murdering her eight-year-old daughter by pushing her into a sump in Tavarakere police limits.
The woman, identified as Latha and her paramour Ramesh, 28, both residents of Gollarapalya near Byadaralli, started having an affair after the death of Latha’s husband.
According to the police, Latha was married to Nagaraju. She had a daughter named Smitha from him. Nagaraju died in a road accident a year ago, after which she became close to Ramesh, her family friend, said the police.
